Southeast Region Team Standings
6/11/23: The morning was clear and cool. The day was hot and went from calm to a good breeze. Fish catching was all over the board.
Congratulations to Colby Bryant and Wesley Baxley with The Bass Club as they win the final qualifying event on Lake Palestine. They brought in the heaviest five fish limit of 20.23 lbs and a $950 check. They made and a strong push for Team of The Year at the end.
Justin Royal and Robert Royal with Vidor Bass Anglers Association took second place with a 5 fish limit that weighed 16.38 lbs. The Royal Team won a $600 check as well.
Third place in the Palestine event went to Colin Bode and Mark Goetzman with The Bass Club. Their 5 fish limit weighed 14.88 lbs and included a 5.31 lb kicker and a $300 check. This bag would be instrumental in the Team of The Year Race.
Big Bass honors was nailed down by Dillon Brock with Team-At-Large. Dillon had a beautiful 7.57 lb fish that netted a check for $140.
Congratulations to the winners today and to all the Teams that participated in the 2023 SE Region Trail.
The 2023 Texas Bassmasters Open Team Trail Championship will be September 15-16 on Cedar Creek hosted by Gun Barrel City. We look forward to seeing the qualifying Teams there and see which TWO teams will advance to the National Bassmaster Team Championship and then to the 2024 Bassmaster Classic.
