Baxley Bests The Field
Club Division Southeast Region Opener 1/17/26 The 2026 Southeast Region Individual Trail kicked off Saturday January 17, 2026, on Lake Sam Rayburn out of Cassels Boykin Park with 69 anglers competing. Due to forecasted high winds and extremely low lake levels, this was designated a trailering tournament. Colby Bryant with The Bass Club finished second with a five bass limit that weighed 17.37 pounds. Colby states that he targeted drains in 12-20 feet of water. Vidor Bass Anglers association member Cord Rawls finished third overall with a five bass limit tipping the scales at 16.82 pounds. Cord said he targeted brush piles in 10-15 feet of water with a jig.
