Baxley Seals the Deal at Stillhouse

Posted on July 9, 2026 Written by DaShon Peck

The Southeast Region Individual Trail held its final regular season event of the 2026 season Saturday, June 27, 2026, at Lake Stillhouse, with registration and weigh-in at Riverbend Park. Because of forecasted winds and limited staging area, the event was designated a trailering tournament. The 41 anglers endured winds that increased throughout the day. Wesley Baxley of The Bass Club took the win with five bass weighing 14.76 pounds, anchored by the tournament’s Big Bass, a 7.67-pounder. Wesley stated that he targeted grass with a drop shot and that the big bass came out of 50 feet of water on a main lake point, but that the wind and the waves made that a difficult pattern to run. By virtue of the win, Wesley also captured the Southeast Region Angler of the Year title. Jacob Bruener of the Nacogdoches Bass Club finished second with five fish weighing 12.63 pounds, Jacob said that he targeted standing timber and laydowns with a Hags Prickly Pear. Dale McQuerry of The Bass Club placed third with four fish weighing in at 10.94 pounds. Dale states that he targeted shallow timber and laydowns on deeper bluff walls with Texas rigged flukes. He said he lost two fish early and didn’t box his first keeper until 12:30PM with a 3:00PM stop time. Colton Rash with The Bass Club earned second Big Bass of the tournament with a 5.51 pounder.

2026 – Southeast Region Angler of the Year – Wesley Baxley

2026 – Big Bass of the Year – Glenn Miglicco – 9.70 pounds

This tournament concluded the 2026 regular season, the next event will be the Southeast Region Top 40 Championship, scheduled for Lake Palestine on October 17-18, 2026.

Fairchild & Wimberley Take Palestine and Team of The Year Title

Posted on June 28, 2026 Written by Brent Stafford

Fronts from the West pushed windy condictins to East Texas Saturday. Lake Palestine saw 20+ winds and made for rough conditions but someone always finds feeding fish!

First place went to the Team of Patrick Fairchild & Wyatt Wimberley with a limit of five fish. Their sack weighed 13.49 lbs. They biggest kicker was in the 3 lb class but not big enough to take big bass honors. With this win Fairchild & Wimberley secured Team of the Year in the NE/SE Region of the Team Division as well. Congratulations to these guys. They won three of the six events this year and have been consistently showing up and showing out for three years. Way to go guys!

Second place went the Team of Chris Glass & Sean Sticker with a five fish limit that weighed 12.87 lbs.

Big bass of the tournament went to Skp Aldriedge with a 5.31 lb fish. Skip & Brad Lamb came down from the North Central Region to fish with us on Palestine. They needed one more tournament to qualify for the State Championship! They are in baby!!

This wraps up the qualifying tournament trail for 2026. The next event will be the Team State Championship September 11-12, 2026 on Cedar Creek hosted by Gun Barrel City. We will have a drive through weigh-in at the city Pavilion.

Thanks to everyone that participated this year and hope to see you in September!!

The 2026 Texas Bass Nation Northwest Region Team Qualifiers wrapped up its regular season on June 13 at Lake Brownwood, where anglers competed in the fifth and final qualifying event of the year. With Team of the Year points still on the line, teams battled for every ounce as the season came to a close.

Matthew Davidson and Michael Lee finished second with 15.86 pounds and claimed Big Bass honors with a 5.01-pound largemouth.

The event featured excellent fish care, with all 44 bass weighed successfully released, resulting in a 100% live-release rate.

After five qualifying tournaments, Kelsey Williams and Corbin Craft finished atop the Northwest Region Team of the Year standings with 1,043.06 points. Only 23 points separated first and second place, highlighting how competitive the race remained until the final weigh in of the season.

Event #2 is in the books! Huge congrats to Rolando Nandin for securing the win and big bass! Jacob Moeller got 2nd, Ote Shaw got 3rd, and Jesus Reyes got 4th! The south wind made things pretty hairy at the end of the day. We had and angler flip his kayak and was not able to recover […]
