HARCROW/ROSENQUIST BEST THE 20 LBS. SACKS ON RAY BOB

Posted on March 15, 2026 Written by Brent Stafford

Ray Roberts can be a feast or famine one day to the next.   During the spring Ray Bob is consistent, serving up strong winds in one direction or another and either a banner day or a humble pie.  The next day could be a humble pie or a banner day.  Day to day activity on Roberts is consistent; it seems to never repeat itself.

The North Central Team Trail saw 6 limits in the 20 pounds range or more brought to the scales in mid-March for those that found a banner day on tournament day.   Ray Bob seemed to be ahead of it’s traditionally late spawn schedule verse other North Texas lakes for some teams.

Three teams came close to cashing checks with bags ranging from 19.66 ( Mike Aaron/Marty Glenn )  19.94 ( Jerry David/Jacob David) and a 21.06 ( Steven Caldwell/Craig Rowley).   They all had a great day on a windy Ray Bob.

In the money was the team of Rob Paxton and Dan Beard that finished 3rd with a salty 21.92 lbs sack.  They focused on the back of creek pockets throwing weightless 7- inch M-Pack Shads in Watermelon Magic Red designed by the one and only Mark Pack as well as weightless black in blue laminated senkos.  They earned $410.00

Terry Anderson and Bubba Taylor spent their day in shallow water employing chatterbaits and underspins to bring 22.00 lbs to the scales anchored by the biggest bass of the day, a 7.79 ditch pickle to secure 2nd place and $1000.00.

Jim Harcrow and David Rosenquist focused on the back of creeks and shallow pockets that contained a mixture of good grass and spotty clay bottoms presenting weightless 5- inch M-Pack Shads in Watermelon Magic Red designed once again by the late Mark Pack mentioned above.  They topped the group of 20-pound sacks with 22.30 to take home $1,500.00 and a 1st place finish.

Congrats to the winners!

Next up for the North Central Team Trail will be Lake Waco April 18th.

Team NC Region: PAXTON AND BEARD TAKE GRANBURY UP THE RIVER

Posted on March 1, 2026 Written by Brent Stafford

Above average air and water temps along with blooming dogwoods had the field ready to find the pre-spawn in motion.   The Granbury bass had other ideas on the last day of February.   The early bite seemed to align with the spring-like conditions, however by mid-morning the bite turned off, and the struggle turned on.   Results averaged 3 fish per team.

The teams of Matt Roberts/Brian Beeson and Shannon Stanley/Cameron Stanley tied for 3rd.   Both teams brought a limit to the scales for 12.45 lbs splitting the $800.00 for 3rd and 4th place.

Matt and Brian used spinnerbaits and chatter baits in the shallow areas around docks.

Shannon and Cameron caught most of their fish on spinnerbaits and bladed jigs.  They also achieved a couple key culls on creature baits in shallow water.

Dillion Konyha and Makinze Crosby secured 2nd place with 5 for 12.55 lbs.    They spent their day up north keying in on 3-5 ft of depth and targeting the mouths of creeks for early pre spawners with TX rigged senkos.   Dillion and Makinze took home $940.00

Rob Paxton and Dan Beard when up the river and spent their day in backwater creeks. They flipped dead cattails in shallow water with Z-Crawl Jr’s.   Their pattern paid off to the tune of $ 1,820.00 that included 5 fish for 15.14 , big bass of 7.20 lbs and 1st place.

After two stops the pair of Shannon Stanley and Cameron Stanley from Tri Lakes Tackle Town take the early lead on Team of the Year in the North Central.

Congrats to all the winners!

Up next will be Ray Roberts @ Jordan Park on March 14th.   Come join us!

Team Division NE/SE Region: Henson & Emory Win on Rayburn

Posted on March 1, 2026 Written by Brent Stafford

It turned out to be a great weather day on Big Sam. Seven teams took the lake at safe light. By what was brought to the scales the buck bass are moving up and big girls were hard to catch.

Cash Henson and Parker Emery brought five fish to the scales that weighed 17.87 lbs with a 5.09 lb kicker to take first place and big bass honors. They won $834 for their effort. Congratulations to these two East Texas Baptist University students!

Second place and a check for $300 went to Wesley Johnson & Tracey Adams. Their 5 fish sack weighed 14.09 lbs. They were glad to get a check to cover gas money!

Next tournament will be on Lake O’ The Pines @ Johnson Creek COE Ramp on March 21, 2026.

Stop #2 Canyon Lake – Kayak Division

March 17, 2026 By DaShon Peck

Event #2 is in the books! Huge congrats to Rolando Nandin for securing the win and big bass! Jacob Moeller got 2nd, Ote Shaw got 3rd, and Jesus Reyes got 4th! The south wind made things pretty hairy at the end of the day. We had and angler flip his kayak and was not able to recover […]
