Team NW Region: Crossland & Janca Win Hubbard Creek

Posted on May 12, 2026 Written by Brent Stafford

An overcast morning qickly turned to clear skies and light breeze. The breeze dies around 11 am and came back at weigh-in time.

First place went to Hunter Crossland and George Janca with an impressive five fish limit that was just under 30 pounds. At 29.72 lbs. their bag included twin 8 1/2 pounders. The big one was 8.53 lbs. They took home $1472 for the bag and $110 for big bass. Not a bad day on Hubbard Creek.

Second place went to a consistant pair of local guys, Mike Schooler and Randy White. Their five fish limit went 20.30 lbs with a 7.81 kicker. Mike caught the big fish 15 minutes before weigh-in. As Iconelli would say “Never give up!!”. They got their entry fee back for their efforts.

Team NC Region: WINDHAM & WINDHAM WIN WHITNEY

Posted on May 10, 2026 Written by Brent Stafford

The field of 16 boats dodged the rain but not the line at the corps of engineer’s closed gate to Lofer’s Bend Park on Whitney.   All was good and take off was still at safe light.   We were met with some chop early and hopes of filling the box during the early morning shad spawn.

The team of Gary Martin and Mike Loden won big bass tipping the scale at 6.29 to cash $ 180 bucks.

Chris Freeman and Ben Hale deployed a pattern of a blue fleck worms targeting shallow willows and stick’em ups in 3-5 ft of water earning 3rd place money of $ 360.00 anchored by a 5.92 ditch pickle.

Mike Aaron and Marty Glenn focused on secondary points off main lake in 12-20 ft depths throwing C- Rigs and Shakey Heads.  They found a tough bite early but keyed in after the first few hours to bag $730 bucks and a 2nd place finish with 16.38 pounds and a 5.45 kicker.

Jason Windham and Terry Windham lapped the field weighing – in 23.05 lbs of greenbacks and several big bass contenders, the biggest tipped the scales at 5.73.   They took home $1,340 of 1st place money staying in 0-4 ft of water flipping baby brush hogs and speed craws in the willows.

Congrats to the winners.

That wraps up the North Central T.OB.T.T. for 2026 with Rob Paxton and Dan Beard taking home Team of the Year honors.  Congrats gentlemen!

The T.B.O.T.T. State Championship will be September 9th – 12th on Cedar Creek sponsored by Kastking.

Tight Lines!

Onalaska’s Bonner Bags ’Em at Big Sam

Posted on May 6, 2026 Written by DaShon Peck

The Southeast Region Individual Trail held its fifth event of the 2026 season Saturday, May 2, at Sam Rayburn Reservoir, with registration and weigh-in at Jackson Hill Marina.

Because of weather, low water conditions and other tournaments on the lake, the event was designated a trailering tournament.

The 41 anglers faced unseasonably cold temperatures and high winds that never let up.

Dewey Bonner of the Onalaska Bass Club took the win with five bass weighing 16.59 pounds, anchored by the tournament’s Big Bass, a 9.44-pounder. Dewey stated that he targeted main lake points with scattered wood in 12-18 feet of water, he utilized Carolina and Texas rigs with lizards and Yum Dingers.

Stephen Skyvara of the Onalaska Bass Club finished second with five fish weighing 12.52 pounds, anchored by the second-biggest bass of the tournament, a 4.84-pounder.

Justin Royal of the Vidor Bass Anglers Association placed third with a five-fish limit weighing 12.21 pounds. Justin states that he utilized his forward-facing sonar to target fish in and around timber with a jerkbait and Neko rig.

Skyvara also won the Senior Division side pot with five fish weighing 12.52 pounds. Gary Robin of the Vidor Bass Anglers Association finished second in the Senior Division with five fish weighing 11.43 pounds.

Ed Caskey of The Bass Club took home an Edge Rod for being first out of the money.

The Southeast Region thanks the regional clubs that provided members to serve as tournament volunteers, as well as the Southeast Region directors for their assistance in conducting the event.

The Southeast Region Individual Trail’s next event will be on Saturday, June 27, at Lake Stillhouse, launching from Riverbend Park.
