The first tournament for the Youth South East Region High School trail in 2021 was held at Fin & Feather on Toledo Bend. The day was overcast all day and the rain held off until 2:00 pm. There was a consistent 10 mph breeze all day. The conditions didn’t hurt the fishing as 21 teams competed. These young guns are good!!
Kaden Mueck and Breckett Long with the Livingston Fishing Team brought and impressive 22.82# 5 fish limit to the scales to take first place. Yes they had a 6.83# kicker but it wasn’t the big fish of the day. Wow, that is a good sack of fish in any venue.
3rd Place – Jacob Longlois & Tanner Stewart 16.87
2nd Place – Brayden Mercer & Lane Mercer 18.23
1st Place – Kaden Mueck & Breckett Long 22.82
Braden Mercer & Layne Mercer with Lumberton ISD placed second with another impressive sack of 5 bass at 18.23#. AND they had the big fish of the day…a 7.84# brute!!
Jacob Longlois & Tanner Stewart with the LCM Bass Team came in third with a 5 bass limit that went 16.78#.
With 15 of the 21 teams bringing fish to the scales there were 54 fish caught for a total of 149.73 pounds of fish and a 100% survival rate. The average weight per team was 7.13#.
Littlewood Takes First in the South Region Opener
Geno Littlewood takes first place and big bass honors at Falcon on the 17th.
Corey Lita takes second place.
Tim Blanchett takes third place.
