2025 North Central Region Team Standings

Ray Roberts was in a good mood late April!   Traditionally Ray Bob will give you a few “haves” and more “have nots” sending anglers home mumbling about how to figure out the lake’s personality of “here today – gone tomorrow” bass behavior.   Reports were that fish were in all stages of the spawn and most all the teams found productive patterns.    It took sacks above 20 lbs. to finish in the money and those that did all seemed to find them in shallow water ( 2-5 feet) around mid-cove or mid-pocket using TX Rigs and spinnerbaits/chatterbaits. 

Zander Windham and Mark Jarvis won the big bass pot with a 7.41 and took home $240.

James Biggs and Chis Salas were 4^th winning $ 350 with a 20.67 lbs. limit.

Todd Guernsey and Micheal Rice placed 3^rd with 22.04 lbs.    A check for $510 was their 3rd time in the money in 3 events!

Todd Parris and Shawn Smith weighted in 23.78 lbs. that included a pair of 7 pounders and finished 2^nd for $1,021 pay day.

Logan Norwood and James Crawford took first place honors tipping the scale at 25.28 and went home with $1,750.  Great job fellas!

Our next event will be May 17^th on Lake Belton @ Temple Lake Park.   The N.C. Club Division individuals will also be at Belton the following day Sunday May 18th.

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — B.A.S.S. has announced the 2025 Bassmaster Team Championship will make a return to Lake Hartwell Dec. 3-6. The winner of the four-day event featuring the best grass-roots anglers in the country will fill the final spot in the 2026 Bass Pro Shops Bassmaster Classic presented by Under Armour.

2025 North Central Region Team Standings

March 29th.

The field of 21 teams were met with a Spring SW wind that drove temps into the high 80’s on Possum Kingdom.  They also found what they had hoped for most,  bass moving into spawn throughout the lake.  Newley arrived spawners can be a fickle bunch sometimes, which is proved in the results. Kickers were the key to cashing checks, and we had 3 brought to the scale between 7.53 and 8.71.

Todd Guernsey and Michael Rice best five went 17.18 with a 7.53# anchor usings senkos and chatterbaits around mid-lake.  This was their second time in the money in as many events and they find themselves currently leading Team of the Year in the North Central after earning $ 480 for 3^rd place. 

Eric Tapia and Steve Shows spent the day throwing Neko Trick worms and chatterbaits on main lake points leading into spawning areas.    Eric and Steve weighed in 18.27 with an 8.65# kicker for 2nd place and a $960 payday.    Eric’s payday weekend continued into Sunday as this was the first time that both the NC B.O.T.T. ( Sat.) and NC Club Division ( Sun.) were on the same lake the same weekend. 

Kent Sikes and Joe Smith put together the winning bag on spinnerbaits and chatterbaits ( a bait used by all top 3 teams) keying on mid-coves and staying in 4 ft or less of water depth.   They also brought in the biggest bass of the day at 8.71 pounds.   Their efforts tipped the scales at 19.51 to take home a total of $1,960 of 1^st place and big bass money. 

Our next stop in the N.C. Bassmaster Open Team Trail will be held on Ray Roberts @ Jordan Park April 26th.   Hope to see you there!
