2025 South Region Team YTD Standings

Coleto Creek Reservoir – February 08, 2025

The Texas Bass Nation South Region Team Trail took to the unseasonably warm waters at Coleto Creek for the second round of the ’25 season. Despite it being early February, air temps were low 80’s with water temperature near 72. Anglers found fish at all depths, and all stages of the spawn.

Team Mark and Hunter Watson got the job done, bringing a limit to the scales weighing in at 16.95lbs including a anchor largemouth of 5.52lbs! Second place went to team Ron Dupree/Byron McGee who were close behind with 13.44lbs that included the tournament big bass of 7.07 pounds! On the podium in 3rd, team Eric Rabinowitz and Thomas Varner weighed 5 fish for 10.71lbs.

The next stop for the South Region Team Trail is LBJ on March, 15. Registration online at Team Division: South Region There’s still time to qualify to fish the championship!

*** Club Division – 2/15/25 Toledo Bend Tournament Cancelled ***

Gentlemen:

Due to severe weather threats and high winds forecast for Saturday, the Southeast Region Directors have canceled Saturday’s tournament at Toledo Bend The decision was made after Directors studied several weather channels and wind apps.

“The National Weather Service is forecasting sustained winds out of the SSW of 15 to 20 mph with gusts up to 25 mph,”  “In addition, there is a significant threat of severe weather. 

We understand the hardships this may have caused for many of you, but we cannot risk the safety of our Regional anglers. Those of you that registered for this event, will have your entry fees rolled over to the make-up event, to be scheduled at a later date. In the event you are unable to attend that event, your entry fee will be refunded.

The Team Division Qualifier Tournament will still be held on Sunday February 16, 2025 on Toledo Bend at Pendelton Bridge ramp as planned. Registration is still open Click here to get started.

Coleto Creek Reservoir – February 09, 2025

The second stop on the Texas Bass Nation South Region Individual Trail at Coleto found anglers
fishing late spring conditions with temperatures in the mid 80’s, despite the fact it’s just early
February! Water temps in the low 70’s made for fish in all stages of the spawn, and the field fished
everything from 2 feet in the back of creeks, mainlake points in 12-20 feet with shakyheads, to 20
feet with Carolina Rigs.
Jason Branham was the best of class, bringing 5 fish to the scales weighing in at 12.91lbs anchored
by a 4.58lb chunk. Cory Leita made a solid showing with a full creel for 11.66lbs, finishing second
and Ryan Watkins battled mechanical issues but managed to bring in a limit weighing in at 11.26 for
a close third. Robert Brieden found the big bass of the tournament at 5.12lbs. Great job to all!
The next stop for the South Region Individual Trail will be at LBJ on March, 16. Registration online
