Teams were met with a balmy 30 degrees at take-off after a frigid week of temps that reached the lower teens.    Light winds as well as temps rising into the mid 50’s turned into a pleasant day on the pond. 

Todd Guernsey and Michael Rice topped the field with a limit of 20.01 pounds that included a 4.96 kicker.  They took home $1820.  Todd and Michael stayed in 20-30 feet of water all day throwing C- Rigs. 

Squaw’s warm February water provided a number of productive patterns for the top teams. Justin Hallmark and Joe Sciuto’s 18.11 pound 2nd place limit was put together up shallow on flukes to earn them $1060.   

Kazuki Katajima and Kentaro Yamate spent their day flipping trees with Texas rigged Geecrack Bellows Shads.   Not only did their 15.73 sack limit claim 3^rd place they also brought in the biggest bass of the day that locked at 5.71 and secured them a $780 total.   

Shannon and Cameron Stanley stayed in 10 ft of water with a steady bite on shaky heads to earn them 14.87 pounds, a 4^th place finish and a check for $380

Our next stop will be Saturday March 29^th  on Possum Kingdom going out of Bug Beach for TBOTT members.   Those that are also TBN Club members can double up as the North Central Club division will be hosting their 3rd tournament on P.K.  Sunday March 30th.   We look forward to seeing you!

2025 Southeast Region Team Standings

The second stop for the season on Team Division Trail was on Toledo Bend. Typical blue bird conditions with overcast skies in the morning and sunny in the afternoon and a brisk 45 degrees and 20 mph winds. One good thing about T-Bend is you can find a cove or creek out of the wind and spend all day there without having to deal with 3 ft rollers on the main lake.

Brian Jones & Rodney Mladenka did just that and brought the winning stringer to the scales. Their five fish weighed in at 17.07 lbs. They were all about the same size in the 3.3 lb range.

Tye Grissom and Mark Grissom came in second with a limit of bass that weighed 15.61 lbs. Their stringer included the big bass of the day with a 5.51 lbs kicker. Congratulations Mark! Mark’s comment was “I had a good guide today!”. When i asked who caught the big on Tye said “What does that matter, its a Team event!”. Sometimes the entry fee is worth the entertainment value! Great to have this father and son team on the trail. These guys are also in the lead for Team of the Year after two events.
