2024 Northwest Region Team YTD Standings

Chris Cobos and Julian Machuca pulled off a win in the Team NW Region. They started out in second place after the EV Spence tournament in February. At the March event on O.H. Ivie they moved into first place and never looked back. Two other teams made charges up the board but didnt displace them. They were consistent enough for the remainder of the year and emded the year in first after Lake Brownwood in June.

Chris was not able to attend the last event so Julian carried the team to victory with three fish and 5.02 lbs.

2024 Northwest Region Team YTD Standings

Saturday June 15th: It was a welcome 68 degrees Saturday morning and stayed cool until around 9 am. The clear skies and light breeze offered great fishing conditions but the fish were finiky.

Matt Davidson and Michael Lee brought the only five fish limit to the scales for a total weight of 8.40 lbs. Not a big sack by any means but enough to win first place. Their “kicker” fish weighed 2.73 lbs. This effort also got them a check for $864. Congratulations Matt & Michael.

Second place went to Kevin Weekes and Chuck Coger with a four fish bag that went 7.05 lbs.

Big bass honors went to Jason Gaston with a 3.03 lb fish!

This was the last tournament in the 2024 season for the NW Region. We had great response and participaition and we hope to see this trail grow next year!!

The final stop on the South Region Team Trail, Somerville fished tough.  Fog in the morning burned off by 10 and temps climbed to the 90’s under bluebird skies.

The two teams left in the running for the championship, Team Nilssen and Littlewood and Team Ferro and Bishop squared off and ground out the day on a stingy Somerville Reservoir.  At the scales with only 7 total fish weighed, Team Thomas Ferro and Ricky Bishop won the battle with 4 fish for 8.34 pounds.

The first place finish wasn’t enough to knock off Team Thomas Nilssen and Geno Littlewood who finished the season with 1051.19 points, edging out Team Thomas Ferro and Ricky Bishop who ended the season with 1045.68 points.
