Boater Division
Robert Royal with Vidor Bass Anglers leads the boater field after day 1 with a 5 fish limit of 19.80#. A bag of solid fish but no kicker.
Robert Paxton with Denton County Bass Club is a close second with an 18.90# limit. Robert had a huge kicker fish, a 9.25# brute that holds big bass honors so far.
Third place, Bill Watts with Houston Bass Bandits had a limit of 5 with 16.70# and an 8.25# kicker to anchor his bag. That fish holds its own with second place big bass so far.
Fourth place, Chad Petrie with Century Bass Club with a 5 fish limit and 15,42#.
Fifth place, Brandon Simineaux with Vidor Bass Anglers also had a 5 fish limit for 13.09#.
Co-angler Division
On the co-angler side, Lewis Decker with Llano bass club had a 3 fish limit for a total weight of 11.60# and a kicker fish that went 6.79#.
