Above average air and water temps along with blooming dogwoods had the field ready to find the pre-spawn in motion. The Granbury bass had other ideas on the last day of February. The early bite seemed to align with the spring-like conditions, however by mid-morning the bite turned off, and the struggle turned on. Results averaged 3 fish per team.
The teams of Matt Roberts/Brian Beeson and Shannon Stanley/Cameron Stanley tied for 3rd. Both teams brought a limit to the scales for 12.45 lbs splitting the $800.00 for 3rd and 4th place.
Matt and Brian used spinnerbaits and chatter baits in the shallow areas around docks.
Shannon and Cameron caught most of their fish on spinnerbaits and bladed jigs. They also achieved a couple key culls on creature baits in shallow water.

Dillion Konyha and Makinze Crosby secured 2nd place with 5 for 12.55 lbs. They spent their day up north keying in on 3-5 ft of depth and targeting the mouths of creeks for early pre spawners with TX rigged senkos. Dillion and Makinze took home $940.00

Rob Paxton and Dan Beard when up the river and spent their day in backwater creeks. They flipped dead cattails in shallow water with Z-Crawl Jr’s. Their pattern paid off to the tune of $ 1,820.00 that included 5 fish for 15.14 , big bass of 7.20 lbs and 1st place.

After two stops the pair of Shannon Stanley and Cameron Stanley from Tri Lakes Tackle Town take the early lead on Team of the Year in the North Central.
Congrats to all the winners!
Up next will be Ray Roberts @ Jordan Park on March 14th. Come join us!
