Rick Shock Wins Coleto

Posted on July 6, 2024 Written by Administrator

Sunday 9 June at Coleto Creek was the final tournament for the TBN South Region Individual Trail. 8 anglers launched on a mostly sunny day, a typical early summer setup that would see temps to the mid 90’s with light winds.

Rick Shock ground out a five fish limit to take the top podium spot, his creel weighing in at 10.71 lb anchored by a tournament BB of 4.45lb. Congratulations Rick on a great performance on a tough day! Close behind in second place with a limit, Ryan Watkins weighed in at 8.14, capping off another AOY season. Colton Knippling took the third spot with 7.79 pounds. See full results and year-to-date standings.

Watkins Wins Somerville

Posted on June 3, 2024 Written by Administrator

Sunday 19 May was the fifth stop on the TBN South Region Individual Trail at Somerville Reservoir. 12 anglers launched under a clear sky sunrise, but a thick fog set in shortly after launch and held until late morning, finally burning off to see partly cloudy skies with temps in the 90’s.

Somerville was at full pool and posed itself to be a real challenge. At the end of the day, it was Ryan Watkins atop the podium once again, bringing the tournament’s only limit to the scales with five fish for 13.75, anchored by the tournament BB at 6.02 pounds. A little over 2 pounds back, Geno Littlewood finished second with four fish for 11.17 pounds including a 5.43 kicker. Third place went to Robert Brieden with 6.4 pounds. See full results and year-to-date standings.

Watkins Wins April Tourney on Choke

Posted on April 24, 2024 Written by Administrator

This past Sunday, April 21st at Choke Canyon saw 19 anglers square off in the fourth event of the TBN South Region Individual Trail. Overcast skies and windy conditions gusting to 40 throughout the morning, and finishing the day with bluebird skies made for some tough fishing.

Returning to his winning ways, and holding off the field, Ryan Watkins brought 5 fish to the scales for 13.91 anchored by a solid 6.53 kicker.

>p>Just over a pound back, Cliff Martinez’ full creel weighed in at 12.75 earning Cliff a second place finish. He anchored his 5 fish limit with a solid 6.64 tournament BB winner.

Less than a half pound back and due to a lost fish penalty, Geno Littlewood brought five fish to weigh-in for a 12.67 total and a third place finish. See full results and year-to-date standings.
